Beans in treats. Yup. Throw them in there. We've nicknamed these SNEAKY B brownies, but the truth is, we've got nothing to hide and encourage you to tell everyone far and wide that THERE ARE BEANS IN HERE! Well, maybe not the kids. Until after they take a bite. And...we actually think these brownies taste better day 1 or 2 in the fridge.

Ingredients
_____________
- 1 1/2 cups of cooked black beans (from 1/2 cup dried)
- 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
- 6 tablespoons cold water
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup cacao powder
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Optional: 1/4 cups chocolate chips (vegan or not)
- Flaky sea salt for finishing
Steps
_____________
1.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make "flax eggs" by mixing flax seeds and water. Stir and let sit until thick (about 10 min).
2.
Place black beans in a food processor, add flax egg once thickened, cacao, maple syrup, baking powder, salt, coconut oil and vanilla. Blend all together until creamy. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
3.
Pour mixture into a greased 9"x9" baking pan and cook for 30 minutes. Top with flaky sea salt - for taste and looks!
